What is Microblading/ 3D Embroidery Brows?

It is a less invasive form of permanent makeup. This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are the most natural looking hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present. The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow colour, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them. This manual method involves a handheld sterile-disposable microblade which replicates exact brow like hair more so than a feathering technique used with a machine. This lasts up to 1-3 years and ideal for all skin tones. The results are very natural, flawless, giving you a fuller looking brow. Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a 2 week period. It is absolutely essential to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.

How long does the microblading procedure last ?

This varies from person to person. A colour refresh is recommended on average from 12-18 months after your initial microblading procedure. More frequent touch-ups may be required where a client chose a soft lighter shade initially, or clients who did not follow after-care advice regarding sunscreen, etc.

 

Is the microblading procedure painful?

​

We take every precaution necessary to ensure the micro- pigmentation application is as pain free as possible. a wide range of topical medical- grade anesthetics are used for your comfort. Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable, whereas clients report no discomfort at all. The topical numbing cream is constantly reapplied during the treatment to keep you comfortable. Some clients may find it helpful to take 1-2 Tylenol pills, 1 hour before treatment as well.

 

How long is the recovery or healing time ?

You do not have to hide from the world until you are healed. Many clients can walk right out the door, ready to show off their new brows. Initially stronger in colour, YOUR new brows will soften to natural looking and beautiful colour in 2 weeks.

 

Will they fade?

​

​Your skin changes over time and so will any permanent makeup colouration implanted into the skin’s layers. However, this natural fading process takes years and touch-ups are easily done as your colours fade over time.

 

What is Microneedling?

​

Microneedling has become hugely popular among celebrities and is being hailed as one of the most effective procedures used for producing collagen. Microneedling does wonders for the skin with its ability to stimulate growth of collagen and elastin, tightening the skin, reducing fine lines, scarring, reducing large pores and generally giving the sking an all over even tone and healthy glow! There is no downtime with Microneedling but you can expect some redness similar to a mild sunburn. This is easily covered with makeup.
